SPECIAL ABILITY LIST
Every character is required to have a special power. Below are some suggestions for powers one can possess. Feel free to have a power that isn't on this list though. However, powers that are not accepted are ones such as invicibility, immortality, and complete control over people.[/center]
FORCES MANIPULATION
Chemical Transmutation - ability to alter chemical elements. one can change an element's state of matter or separate it, but one cannot turn it to anything else.
Phasing - ability to phase through solid matter without harm.
Disintegration - ability to disintegrate matter through touch or through beams.
Elemental Transmutation - ability to change one element into another.
Heliokinesis - ability to mentally manipulate solar energy.
Light Manipulation - ability to mentally alter light particles so that one might be able to generate, manipulate and intensify light at will.
Magnetism Manipulation - ability to generate magnetic fields and to control existing magnetic fields.
Mass Manipulation - ability to increase or decrease mass in an object or person. this allows a person to grow and shrink objects.
Probability Influencing - ability to cause unlikely events to occur by manipulating probability.
Shadow Manipulation - ability to control darkness by instilling a field that negates all forms of light.
Seizmokinesis - ability to induce varying levels of earthquakes on a localized area.
Time Manipulation - ability to affect the flow of time by slowing, accelerating, reversing, or stopping it.
NATURE-BASED POWER
Air and Wind Manipulation - ability to control, generate, or absorb air or wind.
Animal Emphatic Communication - ability to mentally communicate with, and possibly command, animals.
Earth Manipulation - ability to control earth; sand, stone, rock, lava, dirt, or other minerals.
Electric Manipulation - ability to control, generate or absorb electric fields. People with this ability can shoot lightning from their hands or even overload electrical equipment should they choose to.
Fire Manipulation - ability to control the kinetic energy of atoms to generate, control or absorb fire.
Ice Manipulation - ability to reduce the kinetic energy of atoms and thus reduce temperature. can be used to control, generate, or absorb ice.
Plant Manipulation - ability to manipulate plants, controlling their growth and movement. one also has an empathy of sorts with the plants, knowing what the plant feels and what it needs.
Water Manipulation - ability to manipulate water, generate, absorb, manipulate and on some occasions heat or freeze water at will.
Weather Manipulation - ability to control or mentally affect the weather. This includes the ability to generate various natural phenomena (rain, tornadoes, lightning, ocean currents, etc.) or control the intensity of the weather.
ENERGY MANIPULATION
Kinetic Absorption - ability to absorb forms of kinetic energy into oneself and utilize it in some way, such as by converting it into physical strength or using it to power energy blasts.
Energy Construct - ability to create complex shapes or even functional machinery out of solid energy. The things that can be constructed are only limited to the imagination of the user.
Energy Conversion - ability to absorb one form of energy and convert it into another form of energy.
Forcefield Generation -ability to project powerful fields of manipulated energy. these force fields can be visible or invisible and usually take on the form of a bubble or a flat sheet in front of the person.
Radiation Manipulation - ability to generate, manipulate or have immunity to toxic radiation.
Sound manipulation - ability to manipulate sound in all its forms. a person with this ability can control how sound travels and pick up on whispers, or amplify sound and create a destructive sonic boom.
Temperature Manipulation - ability to manipulate the temperature. it allows a person to influence the kinetic energy of the individual molecules in matter, effectively raising or lowering the heat in an object.
KNOWLEDGE-BASED POWERS
Eidetic Memory - ability to remember every piece of information that one's senses have acquired.
Instantaneous Informative Gain - ability to glance at a source of information and learn its contents in whole, such as a book or a CD.
Omni-linguism - ability to understand any language, which includes computer language and written languages.
Postcognition - ability to see things from the past that could not have been known by a person by any other means.
Precognition - ability to perceive the future.
Psychometry - ability to read the history of an object by touching it.
Reflexive Memory - ability to replicate physical motions one has witnessed.
Superhuman Intelligence - possessing intelligence far above that of a genius level.
Superhuman Tracking - ability to track an individual or object through supernatural means; sometimes referred to as "pathfinding."
PHYSICAL POWERS
Flight - ability to defy the effects of gravity without having to sprout out wings.
Invisibility - ability to render the user unseen to the naked eye.
Pheromone Manipulation - ability to generate and control pheromones which may have various effects. this power could induce a variety of emotional and physical responses, including fear, anger, lust, calmness, happiness and sleep.
Poison Generation - ability to assault others with one or more varieties of toxins, with widely disparate effects.
Rapid Cellular Regeneration - ability to rapidly heal from any injury.
Sonic-scream - ability to generate vocal sounds of a higher amplitude than a normal human.
Superhuman Agility - ability to quickly go from one motion to another; quick and well-coordinated. also mentally acute.
Superhuman Strength - ability to perform incredible feats of strength, without necessarily having the appropriate muscular structure for it.
Superhuman Speed - ability to move at speeds much faster than a normal human.
Lentation - ability to perceive time slower than it actually is, and to adjust the body's speed and reflexes to match this perception of time.
PSYCHIC POWERS
Astral Projection - ability to consciously control an out-of-body experience through meditation, lucid dreaming, or other means. the process involves projecting the spirit outside the physical body to travel in the physical or spiritual world.
Deflection - ability to physically or psychically dismiss and deflect whatever physical power is thrown directly toward the user.
Dream Manipulation - ability to manipulate dreams and control, alter or induce dreams in others.
Emotion Manipulation - ability to manipulate another's emotions making the subject feel whatever the user wants.
Empathy - ability to read or sense the emotions and/or control the emotions or feelings of others.
Hypnosis - ability to have a charming or glamoring effect on another person, making one easily susceptible to control and impairing one's judgment.
Illusion - ability to alter or deceive the perceptions of another. can be sensory, a light or sound-based effect, or an alteration of mental perceptions.
Memory Manipulation - ability to erase or enhance the memories of another.
Memory Projection - ability to sense or absorb the memories of others.
Technopathy - ability to manipulate technology. manifested as a special form of electrical/telekinetic manipulation, a special form of "morphing" which allows physical interaction with machines, or even a psychic ability that allows for mental interface with computer data.
Telepathy - ability to read the thoughts of, or to mentally communicate with others.
Telekinesis - ability to move things with ones mind. a person with this ability should be able to lift heavy objects and hurl them, or to stop already moving object by catching them with a telekinetic force.
SHAPESHIFTING
Shapeshifting - ability to change appearance or body structure.
Animal Morphing - ability to take on animal forms. may be able to take on the abilities of the altered form. one could also transform fully or partially into an animal.
Elasticity - ability to stretch, deform, expand or contract one's body into any form one can imagine.
Size Shifting - ability to increase or decrease one's size.
Transfiguration - ability to morph something into something else.
