COLE SAMUEL HIGHLAND

Cole Samuel Highland is a sixteen-year-old boy with the gift of forcefield generation. His birthday is May 17th. Cole is straight. He was born in Manhattan, New York, but moved to Worcester, Vermont when his parents found Donovan Academy. Cole is a Purist, but is now trying to find a way out. He never really wanted to be in the group in the first place, but when he moved here last year, Alistair Donovan took him under his wing and he obliged to make friends. Now that he knows of their plans, he's too afraid of what might happen if he were to leave the group.



Cole has always been an obedient follower. He cares about what people think of him and he doesn't like making enemies. Usually, this won him many friends because he would go along with whatever his friends did, no questions asked. But now that he's getting older, Cole doesn't want to just follow orders like a show dog. He wants to make decisions for himself and do, for once, what he wants to do. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done. Cole fears that he won't fit in anymore. He's always fit in somewhere; he's always had many friends. Being alone is one of his biggest, if not his biggest, fears.

Cole has a big heart. He may not always show it, but it's there. He's very protective of those he cares about. He will go out of his way to protect a friend, sometimes without protecting himself. Cole is the type of person to think about the ones he cares about first and then himself. He's not a selfish person, but rather, he's a caring and generous person.

Cole dislikes spiteful, mean people, and being in the Purists group has made him unhappy because he's surrounded by those type of people everyday. He doesn't like bullies, or being a bully. Unfortunately, he has bullied people before under Alistair's watchful eye, though he takes the full blame for it. A year into the group, Cole has learned how to get out of those sticky situations so he can avoid being spiteful to others, particularly the Equitas group.

Cole is sarcastic and easy-going. He's fairly shy until one gets to know him, and then his outgoing personality shines through. His parents taught him well to respect females. He's secretly a hopeless romantic when it comes to girls. He, too, envisions the whole walking on the beach hand-in-hand with fireworks in the sky scene.

There is no word count here but if we feel like we still don’t know your character enough, you will be asked to add some more. Don’t forget that not everyone had a perfect or an awful past. We don’t want a bunch of abused children running around.
